The Gateway Opens

Yes, it’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for—spoiler season for System Gateway and System Update 2021 has arrived!

The next four weeks leading up to the sets’ release are going to be jam-packed with articles all about these two sets—and, of course, featuring previews of the cards they contain. Most of these articles will be right here on NISEI.net, but as is our tradition, a full week of spoilers will be given to community content creators, in what we call Community Week.

But the scoops start now. If you’ve been following us on Twitter, you’ve seen some of this card, albeit a little… scrambled. It’s time to reveal the new Shaper console from System Gateway, Pantograph.

System Gateway and System Update 2021 are released!*

A quick caveat on the release date: Both sets will be released as print-and-play files on March 28. Before we can approve physical cards from our print-on-demand shops, we have to review the proofing copies, which have to travel through the mail. Due to this unknown variable, there is a small chance that our physical cards may go on sale a few days after the 28th.

For our Community Week partners, we have many of the usual suspects, plus a few surprising new additions to the roster—not to mention our top four players from the Intercontinental Championship, who all have a card to show off. We’ll be dropping links to their content as soon as it goes live, so make sure you’re following us on Facebook or Twitter. As usual, please don’t rip the spoiled cards from the source and share them around; instead, point people to the hard-working content creators that help keep this game exciting.

This article will act as a hub for the next few weeks: as each new article or community spoiler drops, we will update this article with links to the new content. Here on the new NISEI.net site, you can also view tags like “System Gateway spoilers” to see all the relevant articles—just click that link, or the tag in the footer of an article like this one. And the NetrunnerDB set pages for System Gateway and System Update 2021 will be updated with newly previewed cards at the end of each week. Those pages are empty now, but you can check them out each week to see what’s been spoiled!

Tomorrow, Justin from the Rules team will explain the updates to the NISEI Comprehensive Rules coming with System Gateway and System Update 2021. Be sure not to miss today’s piece of System Gateway fiction, either!

Are you ready to jack in?

System Gateway and System Update 2021 will be released on or shortly after March 28, 2021, as physical cards via NISEI’s print-on-demand partners and pay-what-you want files for downloading and printing at home!
